The primary responsibility of this role is to manage both daily and high level administrative functions for the Marketing Department at the Questrom School of Business. Responsibilities include budget management and reporting, department-level management of faculty appointment and reappointment paperwork, coordinating faculty recruitment activities, event management, course planning, faculty training and on-boarding, and department fiscal actions. In this role, the Department Administrator will work closely with the Department Chair to support and conduct department communications, data management, and other projects as necessary. The Administrator will also work closely with members of the Questrom Finance and Administration team to ensure adherence to School and University policies and deadlines. This role will be the primary administrative contact for the department and will serve as the administrative subject matter expert to the faculty and chair.

Required Skills

B.A/B.S. degree or equivalent work experience required, Masters degree preferred; three to five years of work experience, ideally in an administrative role in higher education. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Previous experience with SAP (BUWorks) and Concur preferred. Applicants must submit cover letter for consideration.
