Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Online Graduate Business Programs this position will support the administrative functions of Online Business Programs run through the D’Amore-McKim School of Business. Programs include: Online MBA program, Online Master of Science in Finance Program, and the Online Master of Science in Taxation program. May also support corporate programs, online graduate certificates, and other initiatives in development.
Northeastern University has partnered with Pearson, an education services provider based in Toronto Canada, to support our distance education programs. This role will require the ability to engage a large and diverse virtual student population as well as comfort in a distance working relationship with our service partner (Pearson). Primary duties will include reviewing graduate applications, rendering decisions based on our admissions standards, and other system and administrative tasks working with other departments to ensure a seamless program start for our graduate students.
Distance education programs are growing at a rapid pace within higher education. To remain competitive in this market, it is imperative to operate with a sense of urgency, yet not sacrifice the quality of the Northeastern University brand. The ability to work well under deadline, and comfort with learning technical applications and data analysis required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Proven skill managing and reporting data, familiarity with online or hybrid education, including experience with Banner, AY, and/or Salesforce highly desirable. This person must be comfortable working with all levels within an institution, have a keen attention to detail, and a good sense of discretion working with sensitive information. 
Seeking a positive self-starter interested in working in an academic environment and participating in the growth of the field of distance education. Limited travel may be required.
