Position TitleISE Baxter Innovation Lab Engineering Intern

Assist with the operations of the Baxter Innovation Lab on CLC’s Grayslake Campus. Working with faculty advisor, carry out lab operations, perform equipment maintenance, conduct new user training, enforce safety protocol. Position involves some training to learn new equipment and procedures. Keep lab organized and safe. Assist with lab users requirements as needed.
Must be a current CLC student enrolled in a minimum of six (6) college credit hours for fall
Experience working with 3D printers
Experience working with Windows operating system
Experience and ability working safely with common hand and power tools found in typical workshop.
Knowledge and experience using one or more of the following is strongly preferred: laser cutters, CNC routers, CNC mills, vinyl printer/cutter, electronics (soldering, arduino/Raspberry Pi project work) AutoDesk products (AutoCAD and Inventor), and Adobe Illustrator. Experience with wood shop, electronics, and/or metalworking projects is desired.

Total Hours per week10
Flexible. Usually 2-3 shifts, 3-4 hours per shift.
Requires attendance at weekly team meeting, Fridays at 10-Noon.
