Post Doc Instructions
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Irfan Lodhi in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism & Lipid Research at Washington University School of Medicine. The Lodhi lab uses cutting-edge techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9, next-generation sequencing, lipidomics and proteomics. The overall goal of the lab is to understand the role of lipid metabolism pathways in the regulation of energy homeostasis. We are particularly interested in how the multifunctional organelles called peroxisomes channel lipids to discrete subcellular compartments to influence metabolism. In this line of investigation, our recent studies suggest that peroxisome-derived lipids regulate mitochondrial dynamics and brown fat-mediated thermogenesis (see Park et al. 2019, Journal of Clinical Investigation 129(2):694-711).
